Running in Nevis can be dicey, due to the narrowness of the main road and the lack of shoulder to jump onto when traffic comes. There is one main road that goes all the way around the island, providing a hilly course of about 19 miles. The main town, Charlestown, is too small to be a place to run except as part of a longer course. There are a number of side roads that connect with the main road. All of them will be hilly. Most of the small villages have an outdoor public water supply where one can get a drink of safe water.
