The Parque Vicente Kusanovic is a narrow strip of green between the two lanes of Avenida Bulnes, one of the main boulevards of Punta Arenas, the capital of Patagonia, at "the End of the World". The Avenida Bulnes cuts the east side of city in two, so it is very easy to identify on any map. The best time of the day to run is early in the morning, when the traffic is not chaotic. Start at the monument dedicated to the "general y presidente" Don Manuel Bulnes and run west. You will immediately pass another monument, a very simple white block, built by the Instituto Geografico Militar de Chile marking the point of origin of the measurements for the map of the Magallanes region. If you continue running you will see the "cementerio" (cemetery) on your right and then the Club Hipico (horse track). Avenida Bulnes eventually merges with Avenida EspaƱa. Continue running west on Tres Puentes towards the Porvenir and turn right on ChaƱarchillo following this "costanera" (coastal road). Turn right again at the end of the road, as it becomes Avenida del Estrecho and run along the seaside admiring the Estrecho de Magallanes (Magellan Strait). Once you reach the road named Kuzma Slavic, turn right and head north to find yourself again on Avenida Bulnes. The distance is approximately five kilometers.
