I live in Te Atatu peninsula at the very end by the water. From right across the road from me there is a lovely new walking track with boardwalks following the waterfront around to a large reserve area that looks back to Auckland city. The views are amazing, it is safe and not too busy with no bikes or rollerblades. The walkway is to be extended soon and will cover about 7 kilometers as a round trip and takes a full circle of the peninsula. Just lovely.
