A network of surfaced footpaths and cycleways radiates out from Lancaster through wonderful countryside along the banks of the River Lune, towards Glasson Dock to the south, north east to the beauty spot of Crook O'Lune, and westwards out to the coast at Morecambe. One highlight is the new Millenium Bridge across the river at historic St George's Quay. Most sections are floodlit at night. Circular loops can be made with Lancaster canal towpath.
