I enjoy a stretch of the Ross River from the Weir School in Kirwan up to the corner of Upper Ross River Road and Allambie Lane in Rassmussen. It is 12kms up and back. If you go in the early to mid morning you will get shade most of the way, which is great in the summer months due to the heat here. The river is quite scenic and there is a decent walking/running/biketrack all the way along.
