There are many running options available by using the bike and jogging trails along the Lech river. The forests and fields along the Lech are protected lands, which makes the running scenery more beautiful. Terrain varies from flat to hilly. There are steep Tyrolian mountains nearby if this is not strenuous enough. Trails are signposted. Three primary trails are: 1) Bergle at 8.5 kilometers length, which goes west along Lech river from town center and then loops back on other shore of the river; 2) Lechufer, the longest at 12.5 kilometers, which goes east along highway 198 (separate bike path) to Hofen and returns to Weissenbach along the south shore of the Lech river; and 3) Rotlech, 11.5 kilometers, which runs through the Tyrol foothills south of town. The German word for "jogging" is "laufen", so just look for the signs for "Laufstrecke Weissenbach" and have a great run.
