I agree with the descriptions of Parque del Retiro and Casa de Campo. Both fantastic. I'll add: Parque de Juan Carlos I in the northeast (a new park with a loop of about 10 km, medium hills, water fountains), Parque de la Arganzuela (in the south; it is smaller, 1.6 km loop, but calm in the winter; flat and with a straight section very good for reps), Parque de San Isidro (also in the south; small, 2.5 km circuit, very hilly), Parque de Tierno Galván (in the south; new park, very calm, 2.5 km circuit, hilly).
