If you come to Buenos Aires near October-November, jacaranda trees blossom and will flood Figueroa Alcorta Avenue with violet flowers: running there is almostunforgettable. The main track of Palermo is a perfect place for running. Itgoes along Figueroa Alcorta Avenue from Salguero to Udaondo. Roughly, it is astraight 5 kilometers course with many clubs and highlights of the northern side of the city (i.e. River Plate football stadium at the end). However, no water is available, except for a very recent water machine installed in Figueroa Alcorta and Salguero. Local runners knows well the thirst-running condition; Buenos Aires governors excels in neglecting us water dispensers. Go with your own water bottle! There are yellow 1-kilometer marks, which are pretty reliable, although their zero mark come from elsewhere.
