Inside the city of Pristina I found it rather difficult to run, especially since there are no pedestrian walkways and the traffic is heavy. Very close by, however, you will find what is called the "Film City" which is the military base of the KFOR troops. You may enter this camp as a civilian but you have to go through security checks and bring an ID card with you. Inside this camp you will find a nicely paved running track along a barbwire fence that surrounds the camp. There is light during the night and the track is always kept free of snow and ice. One round is exactly 2480 meters and there are indicators every 500 meters along the way to assist you in your training. It is a bizarre experience to run along this barbwired fence with all of the armed guards on the compound - feels a bit like being in a big prison. But, it is not bad at all and definitely the best place to go for a run after work in Pristina.
