There is a trail around the lake approximately 4 kilometers from the downtown area of Stavanger. It is called Store Stokkavatnet. It is approximately 8 kilometers around the lake. You go through wooded areas while running around the lake. This is a popular place for the locals to run and walk. Paths are lit until 11:00 at night.
