This used to be my favourite training run when I lived in Uppsala. Most of it is forest or gravel paths with only short sections of asphalt. Some short stretches are rocky and hard to run, the rest of the way the surface is good. Anyway: start at Svandammen in Uppsala. Run or walk about 1 km to the south, following the Fyris river. Turn right at the mini-golf course and follow Gula stigen (the Yellow Trail), with yellow markers. This section is mostly through pine or mixed forrest. After approximately 8 km you reach lake Ekoln. Turn left and run along the lake to Flottsund bridge, about 3 km. Run along the Fyris river back to Svandammen, about 8 km. There are taps with drinking water after about 8 km, 11 km (at the harbour) and 14 km (by the tennis course).
