Wollaton Park and Attenborough Nature Reserve combine make quite a nice mid lenght run from Beeston/Chilwell University Park. Run up Queens Road, into the University Park by the west entrance through the university and out of the north entrance. Turn left cross Derby Road at the traffic lights carry straight on for approximately 100 meters and turn left at the sign that says Wollaton golf club (might also say Wollaton Park). Run up the road until you come to a Y junction, take the one on the right which take you to the opposite side of the park. Come out of the gates and turn left, carry on around the right hand corner and turn left at the pub. On Wollaton avenue turn left again and carry on till you get to the roundabout, then turn right on to Derby Road. It is about half a mile up to the Besston turn off (Wollaton Road) follow it to the end back to Queens Road, then turn right and follow the road. Take the second road on the left to Attenborough village where you can cross the train line and get into the nature reserve. Then take your pick of route through there. However Wollaton park and the nature reserve are not well lit, and the paths in the nature reserve can be muddy and wet. But it is pretty!
