One of the good places for running in Belo Horizonte is Av. Bandeirantes, at Serra. The course is 1500 meters long with slopes and marks at each 100 meters. There are water fountain and gym equipments at one of the extremity of the avenue (at Praça JK). Some drawbacks are the heavy traffic and too much walkers at some times of the day. The bests times for running without too many walkers and with light traffic are at 6 am and after 8 pm.
