I absolutely agree with everyone that La Sabana is a great place to run, but there are other great places as well. I have the following suggestion: El Parque de la Paz, i.e. Peace Park (SouthEast San Jose... following the Circunvalacion car route) has a long and wide continuous sidewalk, plus there is a winding trail which is good too.
