Bangplee, East of Bangkok about 45 minutes. Suan Luan (King's Park) is my favorite place to run in the Bangkok area. The park is closed to public traffic, but park employees drive through the park and of course motorcycles. If you stay on the outer perimeter roads one lap is about 20 minutes, if I remember correctly. You will see a few of the regular runners that are very nice people and can show you the trails and will run with you if you want. They are senior runners, but are very fast, and I am sure they can out run most expatriates. Me included, as the heat gets to me before them. This is a very nice place to run, and bring the family as the King's Museum is in the center of the lake where all can see free of charge. The gardens are very nice and the lakes are full of fish. No peddelers are allowed in this park. If you are interested in racing, the locals will know of one. Just ask them. Thai people are very kind and enjoy helping others.
