When in Kara I used to run the road to Bassar quite frequently. It has some pretty nice hills and is not heavily travelled in the early mornings. I once ran from Kara to Ketao on the paved road (about 12 miles one way) but found the traffic - both vehicle and pedestrian - to be somewhat annoying.
