Starting from the Valletta Water Polo Pitch northwest of the city center at Triq Marsamxett, follow the westbound street along the peaceful harbour outside the city walls. When the street leaves the waterfront, turn into the second street on the right. You are crossing the administrational center of the island (no hassle). Generally run straight on for about 300 meters until you reach a rather steep, winding road down to the harbour again (it is easy to find, or just ask anybody). From there just follow the waterline to the west. The track circles three creeks, including the yacht marina, until you reach Manoel Island. Enter the island and run on right to Fort Manoel, then turn round back to Valletta. It is beautiful. Good walkways everywhere. About 10 kilometers, one hill, the rest is flat. I can not remember water fountains or bathrooms. This course is not suited for disabled athletes (no steps, but too many kerbs).
