The city Port of Spain has an ideal location for running - the Queen's Park Savannah. A 2.25 mile loop the Queen's Park Savannah, often described by Trinis as the world's largest round-about, is one of the most beautiful and convenient locations to run. It is located north of downtown Port of Spain and runners are able to experience some of Trinidad's best historical sites. Runners pass President's House, the Zoo and Trinidad's Magnificent Seven (seven historical buildings with each featuring unique architectural designs and simply beautiful). Runners also get a chance to run by Brian Lara's house (the world famous cricketer). After a good workout, the Queen's Park Savannah has several coconut water vendors so runners can enjoy tasty coconut water directly from the nut. Just ask Tony to cut one open for you. There are also many delicious local delicacies being prepared and sold around the Queen's Park Savannah for those who get hungry after their run. All in all runners will enjoy running along the Queen's Park Savannah.
