A booming metropolis of about 4 million people reside here on Turkey's west coast. My daily run is a 10 mile scenic run along the Izmir Bay. The bay expands into the Aegean Sea. The run is on a well marked, cement bike/run/walk path. To one side you have the beautiful blue sea, to the other a collage of new and old buildings surrounded by a diverse culture. The air quality isn't great here. However there is always a breeze off the sea and the sunsets are amazing.
