Best beach runs in Norway. The Stavanger area was shaped during the last ice age. Therefore miles and miles of beautiful sandy beaches face the North Sea. The most known is Sola beach, near the airport, around 2-3 kilometers long, home of "Sola beach run" every June. Farther to the south starts one of the major beaches, Hellesto, from where paths connect on and on southwards to other beaches. Also great beaches for windsurfing and kiting.
