South of Dublin city, on the train line, is the major satellite town of Dun Laoghaire. A few train stops further (along the DART line) is Dalkey. From here, head to the Killiney and Dalkey Hills, which have approximately 10 kilometers of dirt tracks/steps which undulate over the two hills. The views from the Obelisk and Dalkey Castle are just magic - and well worth the hills! Definitely my favourite place in the world to run. Enjoy!
