If you are heading up to the North East of Victoria over the Spring / Summer / Autumn seasons, Falls Creek is definitely one of the best places for running! Many professional/elite athletes have altitute camps there in summer, so you are bound to be inspired by the sight of them! From the village, head for the Nordic bowl, along the aqueduct track, and then you can head towards either end of the Rocky Valley Dam. From there, there are almost unlimited kilometers of Australian Alpine walking tracks, which are great for running - and cattlemen's huts to sleep in, in case you get carried away! Beautiful views abound, but make sure you are prepared for alpine weather!
