Østensjøvannet ("The East sea water"). Five kilometers from the center. To get there: with bus 70 to Smedberget or Abilsø school, or by Underground to Oppsal or Bøler. Both alternatives includes a 5 minute jog to the water. Around the water, a nice path 4,5 kilometers long (if you add Bogerudmyra, it is 6 kilometers total). An incredible number of 440 different types of plants and 209 types of bird is spotted on this environmental protected area.
