Sports like running are not very popular in Acapulco. Acapulco has decreased its status throught the years, and it has not a lot of places to go for a nice run. Recently, a new part of Acapulco has been developed, it still lacks of awesome places to run, but the beach in Revolcadero is one of my favorites. Head towards the Princess Hotel, in the "Revolcadero Beach". This is a long beach with firm sand to run. You can see a lot of runners in the morning and the afternoon, it is a beach run, so take care of your legs with proper stretching. The beach goes very far, if you start from the Princess Hotel, it is about 6 or 7 miles until the beach is no longer nice for running. It is better to run by time, so if you intend to run for an hour, run 30 minutes away from Princess Hotel, and 30 minutes back. Also check the wind direction, many times I have run with a wind advantage for the first 30 minutes, and when turning back it takes about 40 minutes to cover the same distance becouse of the wind pushing me back.
