Situated between the Pitons, Soufrie is a small fishing village in a beautiful location. This short run goes north from Soufrie along a coastal path with magnificant views over the bay. Find the Hummingbird beach hotel (edge of the water, north end of town) and start running up the steep hill with the sea on your left. It's only 2 miles or so but waiting for you at the other end is a resort called the Anse Chastenet (hotel, restaurant and excellent snorkeling). The resort has along fine longbeach to extend the run. Stay at the Anse (tel. 758 459-7000 / 7355) or even better at the smaller and cheaper Hummingbird Beach Resort (tel. 758 459-7232). In general run in any direction from Soufrie and its stunning scenery with challenging hills won't disappoint.
