The Perth Central Business District lies beside the Swan River. A system of paths around the river foreshore provide for runs of various lengths. A favourite is "round the bridges". This flat run of 10km takes the runner along each side of Perth Water crossing at one end via the Causeway and at the other end via the Narrows Bridge. For those seeking a slightly longer run the south side run can be extended past the Causeway (passing the Burswood Casino) to the new Bunbury Railway Bridge which incorporates passenger and cycle access. The longer run comes close to 10 miles.
