Rijnauwen is one of my favourite places, close to Utrecht. It is located just between the Utrecht University (de Uithof) and the village of Bunnik. It used to be a small forest called Amelisweerd, but now it has become more of a city park of Utrecht. In these woods there are many small tracks, all connected to each other, good for a 10 miles run if you include walking down the Kromme Rijn river. This nicely curved river brings you to the old centre of Utrecht. Just one warning; women should run only in company, especially in the evenings.
