Run The Planet is proud to introduce our new affiliate Run.com, the best running route resource on the web. If you are looking for a new Phimai running route, or want to share your favorite Phimai running routes with the rest of the word, Run.com is the place to be.
Head out of town. If you are staying in the Phimai Inn, turn left on the bypass road (heading for Chum Puang) then keep running for as long as you like. After about 3 kilometers you must choose to turn left or right; the choice is yours, just remember which way so you can find your way back! I would recommend turning right, then run for about 900 meters, then turn left just after the petrol/gas station. Then you have about 30 kilometers ahead of you to Chum Puang - enough for most people I think. Best times to run are early morning (5-6.30 am), and about 5-6.15 pm. It is a road run, and there is no pavements/sidewalks, so watch out for traffic, but the bicycle/motorcycle lane is quite wide. It is an enjoyable run, and as it is quite a small rural town (but containing the famous Phimai Historical park), traffic is not too bad, especially in the morning. Also, there is limited street lighting so plan to be finished by about 6.15 pm.
