A former U.S. military base, the Subic Bay has now been converted to a FreePort Zone. Roughly about 5000 acres of virgin forest and seaside coastal (beach front) scenery. Start at the Forest Hills area (Binictican), take the back road passing the Mulaklakin campsite and Subic golf course till you hit the power plant. Make a left and run along the scenic coastal road which passes thru the El Kabayo Stable until you hit the Vintage Fighter jet monument. Turn back and take the El Kabayo route. Beautiful route, roughly about 12 kilometers. If you are lucky you might even see the occasional monkeys, Monitor lizards and snakes crossing the road.
