Cannon Hill Park is located near the Bristol Road, on the Pershore Road, by the county cricket grounds (Edgbaston). If you follow the signs for the MAC (Midlands Arts Centre) you will come to it as well. Cannon Hill Park is quite a large park, and in the day there are usually joggers around (especially on weekends) and families with children, etc. It doesn't get busy though, unless an organised event is on, and is usually quite quiet. You can run on either pavements or grass. The park is mostly flat but there are some hills, most notably the horrible one up to Holders Lane playing fields. I have always felt safe in this park, and it is one of the ones you are least likely to get heckled by kids or adults in (as compared to some other city parks). It also has quite a sporty atmosphere. If you ran around the edge it is probably around 2-3 miles - you can do long runs here no problem as the paths work in a variety of circuits. Overall I think this is one of the best parks in Birmingham - other good ones include Perry Park and Highbury Park.
