Chorlton / Sale water park offers a host of possibilities. There are several simple circuits along the banks of the Mersey and round the two lakes. You can continue following the banks east to Didsbury, or west to Stretford, where there is a connection to the Bridgewater canal. Following the Bridgewater will take you out to Dunham Massey and Lymm, and connects with an easy return route - The Transpennine Trail. You can also exit the Bridgewater at Sale, and run 2 miles through the streets until you reach Priory Gardens and the new motorway bridge which connects you back to Sale water park.
