During my recent visit to Shanghai, I went running in Century Park in the Pudong area, only a block away from my hotel. The entrance fee of 10 RMB was worth it, allowing you to escape from the concrete and traffic for a while. Century Park is a relatively large and new park with a lake in the middle and some elevation differences. I spent a full hour in the park, without taking the same route twice. In the weekend you have to get in there before 10 in the morning to beat the crowd.
