Why not tour the historical creek of Dubai the running way? As we were in Golden Sands 10, we started there, but really you can start from anywhere 10-30 minutes away from the creek. Run through the older streets, filled with small resturants, to the Dubai museum, then go through some of the the textile souks and others, which is quite pleasant, then out to the creek, where the skyline of some spectacular buildings are visible. Now you can either cross the creek in one of the abras or other small boats which is fun, across to the other side of the creek, where there is the spices and gold souk, which are nice to run through; or you can keep on running down the creek both sides, which goes on for quite long.
