Probably the best run in Hannover is around the artificial lake located in the center of the city. The innermost loop is 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) and totally flat. If you run anti-clockwise, whenever the road branches take the leftmost branch. The water can be bought along the road in local cafes. The GPS signal is good to estimate the distance if you are repeating the loops, but do not relay on the accuracy of the total distance run. The trail could be crowded during summer weekends.
