Another interesting place for running is La Dehesa de la Villa. Located northeast from Madrid, is the closest to a countryside that one can find at the urban Madrid, a kind of small country house. You can alternatively run on ground, grass, or through the old road to La Dehesa de La Villa, that nowadays is closed to vehicles. There are some water stations where to stop. There is a very interesting place called El Cerro de los Locos that derives its name from the reunions held by naturalists, sportmen etc., in other words "locos" (crazy people). The closest street is Francos Rodriguez. You can reach it by taking buses number 126, 132, 127, etc. They can be taken in Bravo Murillo, Cuatro Caminos, Reina Victoria o Barrio del Pilar.
