West of the city, the Humber bridge and country park offer pleasant views and scenic countryside to run through. The Humber Bridge is around a mile long and the pavement is set well aside from the road making this a very safe route to follow. The country park is set on the Hull side of the bridge whilst on the other side Barton Upon Humber offers some scenic countryside routes to run through. East of the city, there are plenty of villages that offer again beautiful running routes in all seasons. Beware that many road are narrow and do not have pavements but apart from this, these are some of the nicest areas I have ran in. Hull is notorously flat so the routes are easy to follow. Try the following villages - Burstwick, Bilton, Thorganbald, Wyton... There are also a number of parks closer to the city centre. These tend of be small but offer safe and pleasant circuits - try East Park (along Holderness Road) and West Park (closest to the city centre, near the main hospital).
