Orleans is the first step of the castles ring in the Loire region. During your stay in Orleans, if you hope to train yourself, please follow my suggestion. You can take the Royale Road (one of the main roads). Go down the road and you will arrive at the George V Bridge. Please do not cross the Loire River, you can turn right with the Loire River on your left hand. You can either take the bicycle trail or the sand road which is paralleled the river. Just another 2 kilometers farther, you will see The Europe Bridge. You can take a little road under the bridge, then along the Loire River by an earthy road, you won't miss it as it is the only road that people do the GR3 (road of the big excursion). This well-known road continues the Loire River till Saumur... Then you can run as long as you wish and admire the Loire River which flows peacefully on your left hand. When you decide, you can turn back! You will also be able to leave the city behind you in a few minutes, and put yourself in the brace of the tranquillity and the green grass lands...
