The Rambla is a long road (17 to 22 kilometers in length, depending on where you start measuring from) that stretches next to the beaches of the city of Montevideo. It is one of the main roads connecting the city from East to West along the river Plate. It has a sidewalk which is commonly used by residents for walking, inline skating, cycling or running. Because the Rambla is so long, your running can be quite distinct in terms of surfaces/terrain, inclination, scenery and number of people you are likely to encounter! Those interested in long training runs and plenty of variety, may, of course, run the whole Rambla.
