Rambla Westbound (Puerto del Buceo to Playa Ramirez). This course stretches from Puerto del Buceo (near the 10,500km red sidewalk marker) to Playa Ramirez. Depending on where exactly you begin (and end) this one-way course should be about 5-6 kilometers in length. There is some soft undulating terrain at first and then the course widens out and flattens as you approach Playa Pocitos. From there up to Bulevar Artigas, you will have a wide but busy stretch where you will have to negotiate your way amongst walkers and cyclists. It is a fantastic, flat stretch which is great for speedwork (assuming it is not too windy, as it frequently is). From Bulevar Artigas to Playa Ramirez, the course becomes quieter once more, and you will be able to appreciate some of the breath-taking views that the Rambla has to offer. If you run in this direction, the sea (the river Plate) will be to your left.
