Rambla Eastbound (Buceo to Carrasco). This course stretches from the same starting point as the previous course (Puerto del Buceo) up to Carrasco beach. Again, depending on where exactly you begin, the length of the course can vary, but it should be approximately 8-9 kilometers. Terrain is more varied: flat sections, moderate to challenging uphills and some downhills, with the option of running on softer terrain on some sections. This course is far quieter than the previous one, particularly first thing in the morning when it should be close to deserted (bar other runners). Coimbra street offers a challenging though mercifully brief (it is only a couple of hundred metres long), uphill/downhill challenge with few crossings. Thereafter it is pretty flat until you reach Playa Punta Gorda or Playa Carrasco (where the Hotel Casino Carrasco is). Again, running this course will allow you to take in some impressive views of the city beaches. Running in this direction, the beaches are to your right.
