One of my favourite running trails is the Bukit Kiara jogging track, situated adjacent to the Kuala Lumpur Golf Club nearer to Taman Tun Dr. Ismail. It is a 5 kilometers tarmac road but closed to all traffic except cyclists. The trail is challenging and undulates through the pleasant forested scenery now gazetted green lung in Kuala Lumpur. The 4-leg junction at the small peak takes you through a full circle of about 2-kilometer loop. A jungle track on the left leads you into the Bukit Kiara Hill, which is popular among the Hash House Harriers and mountain cyclists. Watch out for the many monkeys along the way; they are generally harmless but enjoy watching you taking your morning or evening strolls! Note: there is no proper toilet facilites. The nearest public washrooms are at the equally popular Lembah Kiara Recreation Park with rubberised tracks, off Jalan Abang Haji Openg, a few minutes drive away in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail.
