After consecutive army mutinies and elections I would not call Bangui the safest place. One can run, but in my humble opinion, it is advisable not to run alone and to avoid nightfall. A nice stretch is the Avenue des Martyrs from the Socatel building to the intersection with Avenue Koutoukou. It is a very broad road (in part the runway of the old airport) with enough place for pedestrians, runners and vehicules. It is possible to run outside the capital (road to Damara, some 25 km out of Bangui) and in the provinces (mostly dust roads) but I would never run non-accompanied.
