Near Aleppo, the main city in north Syria, there is the St. Simoen convent which is a site from the 4th century aD. Around this site in a circle of approximately 70 kilometers of diameter, there are about 400 old villages from the same age. It is a very nice experience to walk among these villages, walking there mixed culture with nature. The area is very quiet, a bit mountainous, with a lot of olive trees.
