My favorite running course in Basel Kleinbasel starts at the Unterer Rheinweg under the Johanniter bridge. Following the Rhine river in north direction leads in the Altrheinweg from which you turn right into Klybeckstrasse at the end of which you cross the main street an follow the Mauerstrasse to the end. Here you turn left and then right, which leads you directly to the beautiful zone called Wiese, where you can run in the nature along a small river to your left. There are small bridges where you can cross: I normally run straight on till I reach the bigger bridge Weiler Strasse; then cross there and turn back at the other side of the river the way I came. The part where you are running along the river and back is said to be about 10 kilometers. Have fun and enjoy running in the middle of the nature!
