Try using Run.com to find a run, or publish a run of your own.
This route is accessible for practically all the big hotels and takes you out of the traffic as much as possible in Moscow. Watch out for stray dogs. From St. Basil's cathedral, run down to the river and cross the bridge to the island. Turn right and run with the river and the red Kremlin walls on your right. Near the end of the island there is a footbridge which takes you back over the river to the cathedral of Christ the Saviour: keep the golden domes on your right, cross and run up to the metro station, then run along the tree-lined boulevard up to the junction with Novy Arbat. Run left (west) along Novy Arbat - this takes you again to the Moscow river. Cross the river, turn left and now just keep the river on your left all the way back to the statue of Peter the Great, on the island again - a traffic-free leg of about 3 miles. Turn left and cross the river. This is about 90 minutes - if you have less time or energy, stay near the river and you cannot get badly lost. Keep passport and at least 200 roubles with you. Only practical May to October due to the ice.
