Drive to Carrigaline, just outside Cork City, and head for the Crosshaven Road. After a couple of hundred yards, there is a car park, where the footpath route to Crosshaven begins. This is a lovely running route - 6 miles from there to Crosshaven, runs along literally next to the river, right up until it enters the sea, so gorgeous views, good footpath and there is people running and cycling but never too many.
