The most beautiful place for running in Burghausen is the track around the little lake, the Wöhrsee. It is a lovely landscape, very quiet and you will enjoy great views to the longest castle of Europe! You can quckly reach it from the modern city centre and also from the old city centre in just a few minutes: from the old city centre, the Stadtplatz, follow the signs for pedestrians Burg/Wöhrsee. Climb ahead a few stairs near the church, in the Geistwirt-Gassl turn left, after a few steps follow the stairs on your right side. Follow the way below the brigde und you will see the lake. From the modern city centre follow the signs Burg on the Marktler Strasse, before you pass the wall of the castle turn right and follow the way downhill to the lake. One round around the lake is about 2 kilometers. You could shorten it by taking the little brigde in the lake. I wish you a great run and much fun in Burghausen!
