Running is not easy here, but not unknown either. Your best bet is the Botanical Garden just outside of Kandy in Peradeniya. There is a 300 Rupee entrance fee for non-resident, about 3 U.S. dollars, and a 20 Rupee fee for residents. The campus of the University of Peradeniya is free, a pleasant place to run, and also has a track.
