You can start from anywhere in the Ouchy area of Lausanne (such as the Mövenpick or Beau Rivage hotels). Follow the lake road (Rhodanie) to the West (towards Geneva) and at any point along the way choose one of the roads heading up into the city (i.e. ch. de Bellerive) until you get to Avenue de Cour. Turn right until you get to a road heading back down to the lake (i.e. Avenue d'Ouchy). You can make this as long or as short as you want. You can repeat the same circuit over and over, judging your fatigue by whether you are able to continue running to the top each time, or are forced to walk. I have often used this course for hill training when I do not have time to go out into the mountains.
