Bloemendaal is a village community with four small villages. The area is 16 kilometer long and 5 wide. It lays just behind the coast and dunes so there is a lot of space to run. Through the villages, the woods and the dunes. So bring your running or walking shoes with you when you come. First there is the national park De Kennemerduinen. A lot of beautiful marked tracks from 3 to 12 kilometers. And when you combine some tracks you can run even more. This park lies west of Bloemendaal in the dunes. In Overveen you can run around the park Elswout or in the parks Middenduin or Koningshof. Also along the road called Duinlustweg you find Kraantje Lek (the leaking tap). Behind it there is a sand hill and when you go over it or around it there is the bike path Visserspad that leads you to Zandvoort on the North Sea coast. More south you come in Aerdenhout were you can run the beautiful lanes and beautiful smaller parks. Further south is the village Vogelenzang with the dunes of Waterleiding duinen. Between the village and the coast you can make runs for more than 21 kilometers.
